New Flavors Ideas & Packaging

INSIGHT

There is a huge opportunity to expand Hershey’s portfolio
and introduce new and exciting offerings around the Syrups category.

Background for the idea: After some research (especially in the Middle East and APAC markets) we realized that coconut, mango, and honey are broadly used for making desserts and sweets. We tried some of these ingredients as sauces or syrups ourselves. We found that these are great to enhance the taste and experience of popular desserts such as pancakes, ice cream, milk/shakes,

fruit-based desserts, cakes, etc.
So, we developed a line exclusively with these 3 natural flavors and

decided to call it “New Exotic Syrups & Sauces' by Hershey’s“.

The 3 'flavors are:
Mango (perfect addition to juices, drinks, ice cream, cakes, pancakes, brownies, etc.)
Honey & Hazelnut, or Buttered honey & Hazelnut (perfect addition to popcorn, ice cream, cakes, ice coffee, ice tea, cookies, etc.
Chocolate & Real Coconut, or Chocolate and Coconut bits (perfect addition to cakes, cheesecakes, ice cream, pancakes, etc.).

New Exotic Syrups & Sauces by Hershey’s

We propose using a 'recycled looking' tag to put on each bottle cap or packaging the 3 in slightly smaller bottles with a similar graphic design (as shown). It should reflect a ‘natural freshness’, yet always be elegant and fun.

These 3 exotic natural fruits Syrups could be the launch of a sub-branding line as there are many other exotic fruits and/or chocolate combinations waiting to be discovered.

Outline specific product benefits to add credibility.

  • Middle East and APAC markets preferred fruits only.

  • A fun, alternative way to use exotic fruit-based Syrups as

toppings (or blended in) on popular pairings.

  • Appetizing, refined, and natural/fresh packaging.
